WHITTAKER OPENS BRAND NEW SALES CENTER IN THE NEW TOWN AT ST. CHARLES

Whittaker Homes has opened a brand-new sales center at The New Town at St. Charles. "The new office is in the heart of the first neighborhood center, next to Marsala's Market," says Greg Whittaker, president of Whittaker Homes.

New Town's first neighborhood center is the hub of activity with an outdoor amphitheater, Town Hall, Mail Room, Marsala's Market, Prancing Pony Books & Café, Rudy's Ribs, Torta Della's Pizza and neighborhood stores. The first of over 40 sold live work units are expected to be completed this Fall/Winter.

"While we have five row houses, six single-family homes and one townhome mansion on display, we thought that the sales and information center should be moved to the heart of the development. People typically buy here because they are ready to drive less and walk more, ultimately simplifying their lives with their daily needs in a true town setting. Our first neighborhood center represents this quality of life - families can be seen walking to and from Marsala's Market while friends enjoy a glass of wine in the Jazz Courtyard at the Prancing Pony. Now interested buyers can see and experience this firsthand with the new location of our sales center," says Whittaker.

There are a host of events constantly occurring in the neighborhood center. "We have live music night every Thursday night and karaoke every Friday night in the Jazz Courtyard at the Prancing Pony," says Whittaker. "In fact, the Bob Kuban Band is playing live at the Prancing Pony on Thursday, August 31. This is your chance to hear Bob Kuban live while meeting Charlie Brennan from KMOX as they promote Kuban's new book! Check the event calendar on www.newtownatstcharles.com for additional upcoming events."

It has been said that living in New Town doesn't simply improve your lifestyle; it improves your quality of life. Some say they feel as is they've stepped back in time to the towns of yesterday. People can be seen walking to and from Marsala's Market with the items they need for the next few days, whether it is delicious bread from LaBonne Bouchee in St. Louis, Boar's Head Deli Meat, Oberweis milk and more.

While the quality of life at New Town is typically the first reason that people buy here, the homes, classic in design, run a close second. Anyone who's seen old towns realizes that the reason they are cherished is because of their traditional architecture that withstands the test of time. "At New Town, we're using some of the finest quality standards in the industry, many typically not found in new construction in this area, allowing New Town to only get better with time," says Whittaker.

All of the homes feature fiber-cement siding, Kolbe & Kolbe Windows, Azek Trim, Tyvek Home Wrap, 9' ceilings on the first floor and more. There are five row houses, five single-family homes, one lakefront home and one townhome mansion on display. "We've recently opened a new tuck-under row house display overlooking a 4-acre park on Civic Green," says Whittaker. "We also just opened a charming lakefront home display. Visit the new sales center, and they will direct you where to go."

"While many people are under the impression that they cannot get in for over a year, that's not the case," says Whittaker. "We have a few inventory homes in Phase One for a variety of demographics and price ranges, including lakefront homes, row houses, an apartment mansion and a couple single-family homes."

One of the homes ready for move in is the Model 1024-I townhome mansion on site 305C. This two-bedroom, two-bath townhome has a covered porch on the first and second floor, which overlooks one of the front lakes.

"This townhome has many design features, including upgraded Arbor Falls White cabinets, white six-panel doors and trim, upgraded satin nickel door hardware throughout and added lighting and fans," says Whittaker. The living room is wide open and flows into the large gourmet kitchen. Price of this townhome mansion is $179,500.

Ultimately, this $1.5 billion project will be a thriving town with approximately 5,700 residences in ten phases, with a carefully planned mix of homes in addition to a proposed town center and four neighborhood centers.
