Whittaker Builder's Inc. has relocated its corporate headquarters to charming New Orlean's style buildings at 3333-4 Rue Royale in The New Town at St. Charles. The move took place in mid-November.

Whittaker Builders occupies two brick buildings, both representing classic American architecture and featuring second floor balconies on the front and back of the buildings. The offices are brought together by a common courtyard with iron gates and a cast iron fountain. The first building is home to architecture and selections and the second building is home to administrative, accounting, management and customer service. Lewis & Clark Title and New Town Mortgage have also relocated their main office to The New Town at St. Charles. The buildings were designed by 180 Degrees Design Studio, LLC, based out of Kansas City MO and specializing in urban design.

"This move is one of our first steps as our company embarks on a new and exciting journey, and the future of our company is new urbanism developments such as New Town," says Greg Whittaker, president of Whittaker Builders, Inc. "Our new corporate offices not only reflect architecture of the past, but represent what New Town is all about. We have approximately 20 employees that live in New Town already and can walk to work everyday. Our employees are able to walk to the café next door for an espresso or cappuccino, and frequent one of the restaurants for lunch. They can also pick-up dinner or groceries at Marsala's Market across the street."

Whittaker Builder's Inc. employs more than 400 employees. The Whittaker family has been in the homebuilding business for over 29 years and develops and constructs new home communities and traditional neighborhood developments throughout St. Charles County and has recently expanded to the Kansas City area.
