The highly anticipated Shire Lane Pool Club recently opened in The New Town at St. Charles, a new urbanism development off Hwy. 370 and New Town Blvd. This state-of-the-art 2.5 million facility was designed with relaxation in mind, from the 700 ft. lazy river to the waterfalls and plant life throughout.

“The Shire Lane Pool Club has already been referred to as one of the nicest residential development pool facilities in Missouri,” says Greg Whittaker, developer of The New Town at St. Charles. “We wanted to create a relaxing and elegant urban oasis that is inviting to residents and their guests.”

The pool site was designed by Corban & Goode, a world-renowned landscape architectural firm out of Toronto, Ontario in Canada. The firm is a consultant for Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company, a largely recognized firm who has designed over 250 new urbanism communities throughout the world. Westport Pools built the facility.

The Shire Lane Pool Club not only includes a winding lazy river, a lap pool, a leisure pool, a children’s area and splash pad and a bathhouse, but it also has many design features including scenic waterfalls and an elevated terrace looking out over the entire facility. The pool site is surrounded by professional landscaping.

While Shire Lane Pool Club is primarily for New Town residents, guest passes can be purchased at Marsala’s Market located at 3308 Rue Royale in The New Town at St. Charles. Adult passes are $10; child passes are $5. For information, contact The New Town General Assembly at 636-925-2737.
